Soapsmith Handmade Soap – Bergenhus

Every year, Soapsmith’s Founder Sam Jameson creates a limited edition/special edition scent for the festive Christmas period.

Soapsmith scents draw inspiration from the real world around us, evoking memories of places and moments in time, which to date have been places that Sam associates with her home, London. This year, Sam is venturing further afield, drawing inspiration
from Bergenhus, Norway, a place very personal to her and her family.

The fragrance is an homage to her love of Bergenhus and the many years since she has spent there with her family. For her, the place represents a home away from home, a place where quality time is spent with loved ones. Bergen also has a very important link with her actual home, London, as it is where the Christmas Tree from Trafalgar Square is sourced from every year and has been since 1977. And, for the first time, Soapsmith are launching the seasonal scent in both their award-winning, best selling bath soak  as well as their stocking-must-have soap.

Sam wanted to scent to capture the juxtaposition of the Atlantic Ocean and the forest during winter, giving that feeling of warm, cosy Christmas.

Scent notes:

Top note of the Norwegian Atlantic Ocean and festive fig syrup, with a middle note of ginger lily and jasmine. With grounded amber resin and sandalwood to finish in the base.

• Made with organic ingredients; high quality natural shea and coconut butters for a rich, indulgent lather.
• Vegan friendly and cruelty-free.
• Use by massaging bar onto damp hands then rinse thoroughly. Follow with a hand & body lotion to keep skin silky smooth and deeply moisturised.
• Each soap bar is sustainably handmade in Soapmith’s London studio using traditional cold process methods and natural ingredients, handcrafted to nourish and care for your skin.
